The Social Studies Honor Society recognizes students with outstanding achievements in the area of history and the social sciences. Students who have achieved a final grade of A - in all of their social studies courses by Junior year, a minimum 3.6 unweighted GPA overall, have not received below a B- in any marking period in a social studies course, and are enrolled in at least 1 additional social studies course beyond the graduation requirement, are invited to apply for membership.

Membership in a Social Studies related SBHS club or Social Studies Tutoring or significant Social Studies activities outside of school.   

All candidates must be in good standing.  Character for continuing membership in these societies adheres to the same policy as the National Honor Society as outlined in the student handbook.

The application process is in the Spring of 2024.
