Business Honor Society
The Business Honor Society recognizes high school Juniors and
Seniors that have demonstrated excellence and achievement in business.
Must be a current Junior or Senior who has completed or is currently enrolled in their third business course.
Must be currently enrolled in a College-Level or AP Business Education Elective (not including any course for meeting the financial literacy graduation requirement or Summer Institute courses). Must have a 3.5 unweighted GPA overall and a final grade of A- in all Business Education courses with no marking period grade below B-.
In addition to the academic requirements students must demonstrate continued dedication to the Business Education Program. This includes: business education subject area tutoring OR active and consistent membership in an SBHS business-related club OR completion of or current enrollment in a college-level or AP Business Education elective.
All candidates must be in good standing. Character for membership in these societies adheres to the same policy as the National Honor Society as outlined in the student handbook.
If you have previously been admitted to a subject area honor society, you do not need to reapply – your status for continuing eligibility will be reviewed automatically.
