Testing and Assessment

2018-2019 School Year Testing To help you in your planning for the year, please be aware of the following testing dates:

  • October 13th, Saturday – We will be administering the PSAT on Saturday, October 13th. Students must register for this test through Total Registration. The deadline to register is October 5th. 
  • Mid-term Assessments: This year, we will not have a formal mid-term schedule given that post-assessments to measure students' growth will take place at various times during the 3rd marking period, where appropriate in the pacing of the curriculum. Semester courses will have final assessments toward the end of the second marking period.
  • April 15– April 29 – NJSLA Performance-Based Assessment (Language Arts, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II) will be administered to all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Schedule to be determined. As we learn related to NJSLA testing, we will provide more details.
  • May 6th through May 18th (ten school days) – The Advanced Placement Tests will be given at various times. Approximately 1900 tests involving 800 students will be administered. No change in the bell schedule – bells may be turned off on select days. 
  • NJSLA-S – May 20 -May 21  All 11th graders will participate in the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment for Science (NJSLA-S) which measures student proficiency within the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Science.
